Wacky Monster Cookies
If you feel like you're being watched, you are! These monster cookies want to see you enjoy every bite! Colorful, crunchie and oh so easy to customize. In a hurry? No problem! This recipe doesn't require rolling or pre-chilling the dough. Just mix, spoon it out and bake. The only trouble you may encounter is... keeping any on hand until Halloween!

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1⁄2 tsp. baking soda
- 1⁄2 cup salted butter
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp. sprinkles, divided (Halloween color)
- 1⁄3 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1⁄3 cup coated chocolate candies (ie. M&M type)
- 1⁄4 cup candy eyes
- 2 drops food dye, green (gel or liquid)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F. and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add in the egg and continue to whisk.
- Add all of the dry ingredients into the wet and mix with a spatula* just until combined (*silicone spatula works well - no stick).
- Fold in 1 tablespoon sprinkles, chocolate chips and coated chocolate candies. Add 1-3 drops of food dye and mix until everything is evenly dispersed.
- Use a cookie scoop or large spoon and scoop out about 3 Tbsp, of dough. Roll in your hands until it's a nice and smooth ball, then place on the prepared cookie sheet keeping about 2" between each one. Gently press down on the cookie using the palm of your hand flattening the cookies just a little bit.
- In a shallow, wide bowl, mix the remaining sprinkles and candy eyes.
- Dip (press) the top of each unbaked cookie in the sprinkles then place back on the cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
- Cool completely on a cooling rack. Enjoy!!
