Wasabi root is rarely available in markets outside of Asia. Wasabi powder or wasabi paste are readily available, however.

- 1 cup good-quality mayonnaise
- 1⁄2 Tbsp. wasabi paste
- 1 tsp. lime juice
- 1⁄4 tsp. kosher salt
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- In a bowl, whisk ingredients together. Refrigerate, covered, for at least 30 minutes. Wasabi Aioli can be stored in a sealed container for 2 days in the refrigerator.
