A granita is a bit different from a sherbet or sorbet. The fruit mixture is scraped with a fork several times while freezing so it has a beautiful crystalline structure.

  • 4 cups chopped watermelon
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1⁄4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1⁄8 tsp. kosher salt

  • In two batches, combine watermelon, raspberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, and salt in a blender or food processor. Blend or process until smooth.
